Trampoline Nationals - Day 5

The Final Day of competition saw the remainder of the age athletes battle it out in one final session.

In the under 13 womens trampoline event, NSW's Kira Ward did well to finish 7th and make the 10 person final, due to the numbers exceeding 30 entrants, finishing with a total score of 83.3 across her 3 routines.

Next up was the all conquering NSW U11 girls, this time taking it to the trampoline and once again proving their dominance. Remarkably, of the 12 top qualification scores, 9 of the athletes were from NSW! Of these nine, Megan Adams, Kae McDermott, Imogen Florian and Georgia Rayment would be the representatives in the final. With the other two S.A. competitiors qualifying strong, all four NSW girls turned it on for their routine, making it a state shutout by finishing 1st to 4th! Megan Adams picked up her 2nd gold medal, just .3 in front of Kate McDermott silver coated performce. Congratulations to all the U11 girls who have shone throughout the entire competition!

The U13 mens trampoline event provided tough competition for the NSW athletes, with Brendan Weal finishing in a state best of 8th place.

On the double mini tramp, Dominic Clarke was NSW's best in the U15 mens competition, finishing with an impressive 4th place, of which Amy Lewis was able to match in the 17+ womens event.

However NSW were able to finish off the Championships in style with firstly Jordan Fletcher claiming another medal (including his second gold) in a dominant performance over his U11 mens competition. Congratulations to Jordan on a terrific campaign. Then it was the U15 women who were able to claim the entire podium in DMT, with Taylor Ellison winning the gold (129.8), Braida Thomas taking the silver (126.7) and Moriana McLean with the bronze (125.4). The next closest score was 118.2, with NSW dominating the event to close out a fantastic competition!
