Manly Gymnastics Bound for China
On Sunday the 1st July, MWGC along with 7 members of The Australian Academy of Gymnastics, will travel to China to train at the Li Ning Gymnastics Academy in Guang Zhou. After 5 days and nights there, they will then travel to Beijing for a further 5 days & nights and train at the National Training Centre.
The trip was organized one year ago with MWGC Head Coach Martin Shields & Lu Ming putting all the travel plans in place.
The highlight of the trip will be their session at the National Training Centre where all the gymnasts will have an opportunity to watch the Top Chinese gymnasts prior to their departure for the London Olympics. As well as training every day the group will do quite a few excursions, with The Great Wall being top of the list.
In total there will be 51 gymnasts, Coaches and Chaperones making this trip.
