Take your athletes to the next level! The Advanced Accreditation is for the developing Performance Coach, and will teach you all the skills you need to develop physical abilities, plan and prepare for competition season, understand biomechanical principles as they relate to gymnastics and so much more, The Advanced Course prepares you for a coaching career in gymnastics and teaches you lifelong skills.

As a Performance Coach with an Advanced or higher accreditation, you’ll be working in the competitive space, preparing your athletes for competition, teaching high-level skills with greater complexity across all Gymsport apparatus.You’ll have a strong foundation of learning that will enable you to develop physical preparation programs, design planning that caters to athlete needs, and understand Advanced skills with a high level of technical and biomechanical knowledge.

An Advanced Performance Coach is perfectly positioned to develop physical abilities in their gymnasts, prepare them for competition season and take them to the next level.

Course Structure

There are four parts to the Advanced Accreditation for coaches who choose the Performance pathway: 

1. Online Advanced Coaching Principles Course including:

- 4 online quizzes
- Spotting Log Book
- Junior Coach Project
- Physical Preparation Project
- Self Analysis Project
- Annual & Seasonal Plan 

2. Online Advanced Gymsport Coaching Course including:

- Skills Analysis Project  

3. Advanced Face to Face Course.

Acrobatics, GfA, Tumbling*, MAG or WAG
In NSW the Advanced Course is offered in two parts for Gymsports: ACRO, GfA, TUM*, MAG or WAG
Components needed to be completed are: 
1. Advanced Tumbling and Spring Face to Face Module 1      
2. Module 2-4 GymSport Specific Face to Face Course (Module 1 must be completed prior to completing Mod 2-4)                                                                                                                                                        

* The Advanced Tumbling Accreditation has only  two Modules

Trampolining       
The Advanced Course for Trampolining maybe completed in two parts  or as a Full course.        
Components can be completed as follows:        
1. Module 1 Face to Face Course (Trampolining Specific)       
2. Module 2-4 Face to Face Course (Module 1 must be completed prior to completing Mod 2-4)        
3. Full Face to Face Course (Modules 1 - 4)           

Rhythmic & Aerobic Gymnastics
Participants completing either a Rhythmic or Aerobic Gymnastics accreditation will need to complete all their assignments and then attend a full Face to Face a Full Course for their chosen Gymsport. 
 

Gymnastics for ALL

To gain an Advanced Accreditation in GfA requires the following requirements:
1. 
Online Participation Module (3-4 hours)
2. 
Spotting Log Book (5-10 hours)
3. Advanced Tumbling and Spring Face to Face Module*
4. 
A Second Intermediate GymSport (one of which must be GfA)
5. 
A planning assessment task

4. First Aid Certificate (complete the certificate HLTAID003 or HLTAID004)

 

* Please Note:  The Prerequisites to attend the Advanced Tumbling and Spring Face to Face Module 1 for ACRO, GfA, TUM, MAG or WAG are as follows:

OR                                                                                                                                                                                                                           
       The Online Advanced Coaching Priciple Course (Must be completed for a fill accreditaion)
