What is talent identification day?
Talent ID days are held quarterly, they bring an opportunity for targeted six to nine-year-old boys and/or girls in NSW to come into KSTP and participate in skill based, strength and flexibility testing. At the conclusion of testing, athletes may be invited to join KSTP and the NSW high performance rising development squad.
Successful athletes identified will be invited to a three-month paid trial at KSTP. At the conclusion of this trial, a review will take place and gymnasts will be offered a full-time position in the most appropriate squad or the opportunity to join another class within the club.
Prior experience in related fields such as Gymnastics, Acrobatics is ideal, and applicants should show good flexibility, strength, and co-ordination along with an understanding of basic tumbling skills such as cart wheels, round off’s and flips.
In addition to Talent ID days, assessments can be requested by coaches, families or athletes directly.
