Child Safe and Wellbeing Framework

Gymnastics NSW (GNSW) wants children and young people who participate in its activities to have a safe and happy experience. We consider that the health, safety and wellbeing of children takes priority over all other competing considerations, and that this is necessary to ensure the health safety and welfare of all members.

Our approach to child safety and wellbeing is principle- based and focused on the outcomes in implementing child safe & wellbeing strategies. The standards work together to emphasise the importance of adopting multiple approaches to maintain a child safe culture and to ensure that the rights of children and young people are respected and upheld.

Respect our People, Excellence in Delivery, Act as One, and Lead with Integrity, are the core values that guide our sport in the decisions we make, the actions we take, and how we respond to member feedback and complaints.

This website brings together a range of existing resources form the Gymnastics NSW Business Hub, Child Protection Strategy, Athlete Wellbeing and Engagement Strategy and resources used within Gymnastics NSW high performance programs and squads. We are committed to continually reviewing and improving our practices.
