ANAC Wrap Up
Team GNSW returned home champions from the 2018 ANAC Championships (Association of National Aerobic Championships), held in Phoenix, Arizona from the 28th July - 1st August.
The 2018 ANAC Championships The ANAC International Aerobic Championship is the official world-class athletic competition for selected winners and/or highest-ranking athletes of ANAC national member affiliates and ANAC associates. The championship is conducted in individual, mixed pairs, trios, group and AeroDance categories.
In the AeroDance Senior Individual Division, Tyson Durrington Martin (North Coast Gymnastics) established Australia's medal position, taking home the Silver medal. Tyson partnered with Danielle Smith (Norther Coast Gymnastics) in the AeroDance Senior Mixed Pair earning the Bronze Medal.
In the Age Group 1 Individual Division, Nadia Wang (Sydney West Gymsports) established Australia's medal position, taking home the Silver medal. Team mate Casey Rogan (Non Stop Dance Company) also shone in this category finishing 4th in the prelims , however due to a 2 athlete per country rule, sadly missed out of the finals. Continuing Australia's success Carrisa Uno (Sydney West Gymsports) took away the Gold Medal in the AeroDance Varsity Individual Division. In the AeroDance Junior Trio Division Jessica Naman, Patricia Siriphan & Leila Ghazi (Sydney West Gymsports) came away with another impressive Gold Medal.
