Bronze for Australia!

2018 FIG Trampoline World Championships

Saint Petersburg, Russia hosted the 33rd FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships which took place last week (7th-10th November). Australia was incredibly represented by NSW athletes Kira Ward, Amy Lewis, Dominic Clarke and Owen Gilbert from Sydney Gymnastics and Aquatic Centre, and Aiden  Thomas, Blake Rutherford and Ty Swadling from East Lakes Trampoline Sports. 

Despite the tough field of International competitors, our Aussie athletes persevered to return home with some amazing results. Congratulations are extended to Ty Swadling and Dominic Clarke who took out an outstanding bronze-medal winning Synchronized Trampoline routine behind Belarus and France with a final score of 51.27. In the individual trampoline event, NSW's Dominic Clarke and Kira Ward represented their country in the final day of competition, each achieving their personal goals of a semi final finish.
