Facilities Audit
GNSW Facility Audit and Strategy
GNSW are currently completing a state wide facility audit of all GNSW Clubs in order to develop a GNSW Facility strategy that will look to meet the following objectives:
- Increase participation in gymnastics activites and programs.
- Enhance and improve facility provision.
- Forge closer links between Gymnastics Clubs and Local Government Agencies with regards to facility planning.
- Increase participation through increased facility access.
- Enable Gymnastics NSW to map state facilities, identify areas where facility provision is deficent as a function of population and work with local partners to address areas of deficiency.
The Key features of the Facility strategy are as follows:
- Complete state wide GNSW club facility audit, of which from the results a mapping exercise will be completed to map all current gymnastics facilities across the state.
- An analysis of facility provision versus functions of population and area demography will then be completed and from this a needs analysis will be provided to state and local government agencies to assist with future planning and strategies.
- The strategy will also include - design, plan and implementation of facility guidelines and equipment guidelines that will be used to assist gymnastics clubs, local government agencies and facility planners with design and planning of new gymnastics facilities.
- Through the development of the local needs analysis GNSW will act as liaison between gymnastics clubs and local government agencies to forge closer partnership working on future facility plans.
