 GNSW Gold & Silver Squads 2013

The GNSW Gold and Silver Squads criteria and format is currently under review and will be named for squads to take place in the second half of the year.

2013 BRONZE SQUAD INFORMATION FOR IDP CLUBS

Gymnastics NSW is happy to invite clubs who are running an IDP program who have suitable aspiring gymnasts to attend the 2013 NSW WG IDP Bronze Squad Selection Clinic.

Details of the Selection Clinic are as follows:

DATE:                    Sunday 25th November 2012

VENUE:                 Epping YMCA, 15 Ward Street, Epping, 2121

CLOSING DATE:    Friday 2nd November 2012

SCHEDULE:            After registrations close (Friday 2nd November 2012), Programs will be contacted and given a start time. 
                                Programs will be staggered for efficiency.

COST:                    No cost to trial

CLINICS

 The clinics are great fun, a good chance for the girls to mix with 'like minded' kids and work with a variety of High Performance specialist coaches.

 

Ggymnastics NSW Clinics:

Throughout the year, gymnasts selected as part of the Bronze Squad have three (3) one-day clinics. Those gymnasts on the Gold and Silver Squads generally have two (2) one-day clinics and one (1) or two (2) three-day clinic, training at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS).

Gymnastics Australia Clinics: 

Gymnastics Australia co-ordinate 2 IDP Clinics per year.  The clinics are for 3 days and directly follow the Australian Championships in July and National Club Championships in November/December.  Gymnasts are selected based on their performance on the IDEAL Skills test.  (All girls who test with Jo Richards are ranked Nationally for their age and performance level).

There are a maximum of 100 gymnasts invited from around the country, all aged between 9 - 13 years. Participants for each clinic are selected approximately 6 weeks prior to the respective clinic.
