CAREER OVERVIEW

An elite sports and performance coach (Level 3), with extensive experience coaching and developing athletes at international level, I am also a qualified teacher and have worked in educational settings developing curriculum and managing elite sports programs. With over 30 years’ experience coaching at all levels of sport, I have a successful record of developing and facilitating education, sports analysis and training programs within the Club, State and National program level for new coaches, judges and managers.

Adopting a visionary and innovative approach, over the last 17 years I developed and managed the well reputed and highly successful MLC high performance gymnastics club, whilst also significantly contributing to the establishment of a National benchmark for Clubs in Australia.

Throughout my career I have held positions on the State and National Technical Gymnastics Committees and have also held the position of Floor Manager for 2000 Olympics, 2005 World Championships and 2006 Commonwealth Games. I have been a member of the Australian National Team coaching staff since 2001 including World Championships in 2010. In addition, I have been the development coach for athletes on the 2000 and 2004 Olympic teams and I coached an Australian Commonwealth Games gold medallist in 2010.

I am now developing my Gymnastics consulting business and looking forward to new opportunities and challenges where I can utilise my skills and experience to contribute to other gymnastics clubs, programs and coaches.
